ZTD Breakout Entryforward observation

A breakout entry that only looks while a divergence context is armed. It reads Zero-Touch Divergence on the hourly AND the 4-hour chart at the same time, and on whichever of the two is armed it watches the 5- or 15-minute chart for a two-swing structure — a first extreme, a pullback, and a lower high (or higher low) behind it — then rests a stop order beyond that structure. Both contexts are reported on one card, and the one further along the ladder is the one the card leads with.

How it reads a chart

  1. 1Read the divergence context on the hourly and on the 4-hour chart, and record the level each one is measured from. No context on either, no action on the fast chart at all.
  2. 2On the 5- or 15-minute chart, track the swing structure until a 1-2 pattern forms on the armed side: a first swing, a pullback, and a lower high behind it for a short context, mirrored for a long one.
  3. 3Rest a stop order beyond the second swing while the context holds, and cancel it when the context is disarmed, the reference is broken, or the pattern is invalidated by a close beyond its first pivot.
  4. 4Once filled, carry the stop at the level the context is measured from and the target on the higher-timeframe band, and report the trade to whichever of those it reaches.

What lands on the card

  • Which rung each context is on: nothing armed, a context armed, a 1-2 pattern formed or an order resting, a simulated position open, or a trade just closed.
  • For a resting order: its entry and the level the context is measured from. A resting order has no target price yet — the band it aims at is computed at the fill — and none is shown rather than invented.
  • For an open position: the entry, the stop and the target, and the running count of simulated fills, wins and losses as a percentage of entry.

Where it goes quiet

  • 5-minute and 15-minute charts only. The divergence is the context, on the hourly and the 4-hour; asking for this method on either of those is refused, because that is the bias and not the entry.
  • There is no backtest record behind it. It is published under forward observation, and every read it produces is tracked to its own outcome from the day it was published — that record is the evidence, and it starts empty.
  • Most of the time neither context is armed, so most reads say nothing is armed. The armed-but-waiting state is the second most common, and a resting order is rarer still.
  • Everything it reports is its own paper trade at real spreads, so the record can be kept. None of it is an instruction.

What the testing found

Nothing has been measured about whether this works. The rule was ported from the indicator it came from and matched against that indicator bar for bar, which is verification of the port and of nothing else — no pre-registered test has been run on it, no sample of outcomes exists, and the entry layer published beside it on the same divergence bias failed every one of the ten variants that were tested. It is published on the one condition every method here is published on: it is tracked in public from the first read, and the record it builds is shown whichever way it goes.

Tracked outcomes

No outcomes tracked for this method yet. Every read it publishes is graded to a win, a loss or an expiry, and appears here once the first ones resolve.
